Visible Cloaks are self-confessed Takada fans.

Following a sold-out show at London’s Cafe Oto earlier this month, Japanese composer and percussionist Midori Takada will perform at London’s Barbican on September 28.

The re-release of Takada’s 1983 minimal ambient masterpiece Through the Looking Glass last month prompted her live return to Europe after many years away. Hailed by many as one of the defining Japanese electronic records of the era, the LP was not released on CD at the time and original vinyl copies were hard to come by.

Support for the show comes by way of Portland two-piece and recent FACT Rated subjects Visible Cloaks.

Grab tickets from the Barbican website.
