The Montréal festival’s 18th edition gets even bigger.

MUTEK Montréal has added more names to its 2017 lineup as well as announcing a series of international events highlighting talent in some of the world’s capitals.

Surgeon & Lady Starlight, Helm, Deathprod, Max Cooper, Polar Inertia, Fred P and Monolake are among the artists added to MUTEK Montréal, which takes place from August 22-27. Other names joining the bill include Mark Fell’s Sensate Focus project, Space Afrika and Mexican club artists Lao, Mexican Jihad and Smurphy.

MUTEK will also run four events in London, Barcelona, Berlin and Mexico City as part of a program called Inter_Connect, which aims to shine a spotlight on talent in the cities.

No dates have yet been announced, but London’s event features Helm and Sculpture, Berlin’s includes Marie Davidson and Africaine 808 and Mexico City’s features several artists from the NAAFI collective.

MUTEK Montréal 2017’s lineup also includes Kara-Lis Coverdale, Aurora Halal, Fis and Daphni. This year the festival moves from June to August and expands by a day – tickets are available from the MUTEK website.
