Listen to Arca’s new remix of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s ‘async’

The remix is set to be featured on a new companion LP of Sakamoto’s album async.

Arca has shared a remix of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s track ‘async’.

‘Async’ is the title track from Sakamoto’s 2017 album – the legendary Japanese composer’s first solo LP in eight years and his first since recovering from cancer.

According to Pitchfork, the remix appears on a companion LP to async, which is set to be released this autumn via Milan Records.

The album also features remixes from Cornelius, Jóhann Jóhannsson and more, along with the previously released Oneohtrix Point Never remix of ‘Andata’.

Last month, it was revealed that Arca has been working with Björk on her new as-yet-untitled album, which the Icelandic icon has described as her “Tinder record.”
