Four Tet has announced his ninth album New Energy will be out later this month. It includes the recently released singles ‘Planet’ and ‘Two Thousand And Seventeen’.
The producer revealed the news by tweeting a simple photograph of a wall with a small piece of paper taped to it including the title, release date and tracklist. Earlier this summer he said in an interview on BBC Radio 1 that he’s been “making music for the past 10 months.”

The album follows Four Tet’s 2015 album Morning/Evening, which consisted of two lengthy tracks that took up entire LP sides. Prior to that he released the more traditionally arranged Beautiful Rewind in 2013.
