We’re inviting budding producers to take the 10-minute challenge in Amsterdam this month.

FACT is taking Against The Clock on the road and offering anyone a chance to see if they can do what Zaytoven, Karen Gwyer, Danny L Harle, Lady Starlight and many more have done before: make a track in just 10 minutes.

We’re teaming up with ADE in Amsterdam later this month and setting up a studio full of gear for anyone brave enough to come and take the ATC challenge, with the best tracks uploaded to FACT’s SoundCloud.

We’ll be hosting a full day of Against The Clock sessions on October 20 from 12pm-6pm. You don’t need to bring anything – we’ve got a laptop loaded with Ableton Live, as well as synths from Roland and controllers from Native Instruments. If you want to bring your own samples, load them up to a USB drive.

As we’ve only got a limited time to fit everyone in, we can’t guarantee everyone will get a slot, so turn up as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Entrants will be allocated time on a first come, first served basis.

If you don’t fancy the idea of stepping up yourself, FACT will also be hosting ATC sessions with three big name producers picked from ADE’s sprawling line-up. You’ll be able to come along and see them in action live, and if you’re not lucky enough to be coming to ADE this you’ll be able to watch online at home. If you want to get involved on social media, feel free to share and post in the Facebook event page and use the hashtag #ADE17 on Twitter and Instagram.

ADE takes place in Amsterdam this month from October 18-22, and features sets across the city from Ben UFO, Objekt, Shanti Celeste, Soulwax and many more.

The ADE Sound Lab will run from October 19- October 21, with the program starting at noon. Access to the Sound Lab is only for ADE Card and ADE Pass / ADE Conference Pass holders. You can purchase an ADE Card for €10 here.
