The Vinyl Factory release Die Verboten debut

The Vinyl Factory, the chaps behind lavish special editions of records by the likes of Damon Albarn & Jamie Hewlett, Primal Scream and Pet Shop Boys, are releasing Live In Eivissa, the debut offering from Die Verboten, a collaboration between Soulwax, Riton and Fergadelic.

The release is exclusive to The Vinyl Factory, and is available to pre-order now. Limited to only 300 copies, this hand-numbered and stamped first edition includes the vinyl-only release of the 18-minute-long epic ‘Live In Eivissa’, pressed on 12” super-heavyweight vinyl. Also included is a unique ‘pop-up’ 3-D pyramid artwork created by Fergadelic, and featuring photographs taken at the Die Verboten recording sessions in Ibiza. What’s more, the record can be made into a gen-u-ine, three-dimensional pyramid. A fucking pyramid. How good is that? Check the designs below and you’ll get the idea…

Inspired by psychedelia, krautrock, Balearica, kosmische and "space music" of all stripes, Die Verboten finds Riton, artist Fergadelic and brothers Stephen and David Dewaele "using the studio as a compositional machine and sound laboratory". Look out for an in-depth interview with the band next week here on FACT.
