Vinyl madness: Jack White unveils Triple Decker Record

Jack White has revealed plans to release The Dead Weather’s new single, ‘Blue Blood Blues’, as a Triple Decker Record.

The Triple Decker Record has been designed and trademarked by White. It basically amounts to a 12″ of the single embedded with a bonus 7″, one which can only be listened to once it has been prised free of the 12″. Confused? White gives a demonstration in this video:

The Triple Decker Record edition of ‘Blue Blood Blues’ is limited to 300 copies; from this Friday, 17 September, 100 copies will be sold directly from White’s Third Man Records store in Nashville, with the remaining 200 distributed through selected record stores and mail-order.
