Smoking In Heaven is the title of the new album by Kitty, Daisy & Lewis.

The sibling rock ‘n roll trio return on May 30 with the follow-up to their self-titled debut of 2008, released via Sunday Best Recordings and heralded by the single ‘I’m So Sorry’/’I’m Going Back’. There’s more of a jazz influence on this record, with swinging rhythm and swaying vocals, and it reflects the band members deep immersion in the pre-1965 music forms (Lewis DJs, collects and even cuts his own 78rpm records).

Smoking In Heaven was recorded by Lewis and his father Graeme in their home studio, using ribbon microphones and analogue tape. Out April 18, ‘I’m So Sorry’/’I’m Going Back’ will be available in a hand-crafted 78rpm 10″ vinyl edition, and the album – get this – in 78rpm 6×10″, as well as the usual digital, CD and LP formats.

Kitty, Daisy & Lewis will be performing a headline show at London’s Koko on March 19. More information here.
