Crystal Castles announce UK tour, debut new song at Reading Festival

By , Aug 29 2012

Don your leathers and hoodies: Crystal Castles are heading to the UK.

Toronto’s resident 8-bit superstars will be stopping by these shores in November for a short tour. The pair will make appearances in Birmingham, Norwich, London, Glasgow and Leeds, before finishing up the jaunt with an appearance at Manchester’s Manchester Academy.

The tour will see them breaking in tracks from their forthcoming third album (we’re going to take a punt and guess that it’s going to be called Crystal Castles). They’ve already let groggy lead track ‘Plague’ out into the ether, and a new cut from the album is now doing the rounds. ‘Wrath Of God’ (of course) was premiered during the band’s Reading set, and is available to watch below. The clip’s not exactly HQ, but, amid the muffled thuds and the horrid compression, we can hear echoes of career highlight ‘Celestica’.

Those UK dates are available below.

22/11 – Institute – Birmingham
23/11 – Norwich U.E.A. – Norwich
24/11 – Brixton Academy – London
26/11 – 02 ABC – Glasgow
27/11 – Academy – Leeds
28/11 – Manchester Academy – Manchester
