The all-in-one controller is designed for the new Stems format.

Native Instruments has just revealed a new DJ controller for its Traktor software, the Kontrol S5.

Billed as a “compact DJ controller with Stems control”, the Kontrol S5 is a more stripped back version of the flagship Kontrol S8 controller with some of the faders removed.

Like the S8, the S5 comes with two colour displays, control for four channels, touch strips for track cueing, and all the controls you’ll need to make use of Stems, the new audio format that lets you play individual elements of a track.

The Kontrol S5 will be released in October, and will cost £579/$799 – you can watch it in action in the video below.
