“This is a call for donations – help us rebuild the Pudel!”

In February this year, a fire broke out at Hamburg club the Golden Pudel that left the beloved nightspot severely damaged and its future uncertain. Following the suspected arson and after an attempted auction of the property was thwarted, the Pudel’s owners are now ready to rebuild the club – but they need help

While there is some insurance money available, the complete restoration of the club will cost “at least as much as five brand-new and showroom-fresh SUVs.” The owners are asking the public for donations, no matter how small, to help with the build.

The website for the Pump up the Pudel fundraising drive features their ‘Schockvideo’ – a glimpse inside the ruined club that shows the extent of the fire damage.

They have also uploaded videos of support from Golden Pudel “ambassadors” like Helena Hauff & Cindy Looper, Trentemøller and Modeselektor, which you can watch below. For more information on the rebuild, visit here.
