James Murphy has revealed that LCD Soundsystem‘s third, as yet untitled new album is being tentatively scheduled for a March 2010 release date.

In a post on LCD’s Facebook page [via Exclaim], Murphy talked about the album’s artwork and mastering.

"The art is photos by Ruvan Wijesooriya and graphics by DFAsuperdesigner Mike Vadino of Bureau. The mastering for the vinyl (anddigi) is by my engineer hero, original mentor, and best vinyl cutterever, bob weston of shellac at chicago mastering. I’m honestly reallyexcited."

Fielding a couple of fan questions, Murphy went on to talk about a new single likely to see the light of day in 2009, with live dates set to follow in the not too distant future.

"Should be a certain number of free downloads of the new single whenit’s ready. I must say, though, that we’re trying to make the vinylinclude a free download, so I recommend that. mainly because we workedreally hard on the art and the mastering, and we’re proud of it."
