FACT mix 60 is the work of Joe Cowton, who records exemplary house-infused dubstep under the names Kowton and Narcossist.

Cowton comes from the Lake District, but is now based in Bristol. His music “attempts to incorporate both the rhythmic energy of garage and the depth and intensity of techno”, and if you aren’t already up on ‘Sunblind’, his stunning single for Mindset last December, then you’re missing out: it’s one of the most driving, heavy house tracks we’ve heard in the last twelve months, except for after the second drop, when it turns into the best donk track ever – this is a very good thing.

Judging by the recent tracks of his we’ve heard, especially ‘Countryman’ and ‘+ 46’, people could soon be talking about Cowton the same way they are the likes of Peverelist and Appleblim. His FACT mix features Theo Parrish, Move D, Omar-S, Karizma, Indigo, Scuba, Jus Wan alongside his own dubs, and couldn’t be better suited to the summer days ago. You lucky types.
