Gang Gang Dance sign to 4AD; new album this year

“4AD can reveal that the label have signed New York outfit Gang Gang Dance, with a new album – the follow-up to 2008’s Saint Dymphna – due later on in 2010.

“Comprised of Lizzi Bougatsos, Brian Degraw, Josh Diamond and Jesse Lee, GGD established themselves with the release of God’s Money in 2005, following a string of underground releases having begun in the same experimental Brooklyn scene as the likes of Animal Collective, Black Dice and TV On The Radio.”

    congrats to GGD, but what happened with Warp?
    it must be said, this is further proof that 4AD have become essentially irrelevant.
    they sign LOTS of artists that have already made a name for themselves.
