Stop Making Sense is a new music festival taking place September 3-5 on Croatia’s Adriatic coast.

SMS and London, Glasgow and Paris’s top promoters will bring a dazzling array of DJ and live talent to the village of Petrçane, with beach and boat parties galore.

The full line-up has yet to be announced, but some of the promoters involved are Need2Soul, Süd Electronic, Warm, Allez-Allez, Fantasy Island, Swap-A-Rama, Deviation, Optimo, SubClub, Secretsundaze and Deviation. Oh, and your very own FACT will be hosting a boat party with some very special guests.

London’s Süd Electronic has become a byword for quality deep house and techno, and they’ll be bringing Tama Sumo (Ostgut Ton / Panorama Bar) and Lakuti among others to Croatia’s shores. JD Twitch, JG Wilkes and SENSU will represent Optimo on the festival’s main stage (Saturday) and a boat party.

SMS organisers Chris Greenwood and Alex Ruello say:

“We are delighted to have found such a brilliant spot to put on our first event, combining great weather, excellent value transport + accommodation, superb food & hospitality. The facilities are top notch, the villagers super friendly…and sunshine virtually guaranteed. We couldn’t really have asked for more!”

Early bird tickets are an uncommonly reasonable £60 for three days and nights. Flights to Zadar, 20 minutes away from the festival site, are currently available for around £120.

We’ll be announcing the full line-up for the festival very soon.
