So Disco pioneer Alexander Robotnick recently announced details of a new album, The Analog Session.

Robotnick, who compiled the 50th mix in our FACT mix series, is a bonafide electronic music legend, who shot to fame in 1983 with the analog disco bomb ‘Problemes D’Amour’.

His status continued to rise due to both his visionary productions and his flamboyancy behind the turntables, and in the 1990s he experimented with more esoteric, ethno-fuelled projects such as Masala and The Third Planet.

New album The Analog Session features electro, disco, techno and more, and was recorded live on vintage equipment, including the Oberheim Biphonic, Roland TB303 and Korg Stage Echo, with Alexander’s friend Ludas Pinsky.

It will be released on June 7, via This is Music, and you can listen to a hot-off-the-press track from it right here, titled ‘Fun-Fare’ (Club Mix). Oh yes you can.
