Since launching earlier this year, Sinden’s Grizzly label has already brought us 12″s from some very recognisable talents: namely Brodinski, SBTRKT and Sinden himself.

One totally new name to have found his way into this estimable and established company is London-based, Norwich-hailing Wafa. Influenced by “Sony PlayStation, pink wafers, V-Drums and Toddla T’s DJ sets”, Wafa has been taken under the wing of none other than Seiji and Landslide, and his energetic, computer-bounced dance tracks have earned the support of Gilles Peterson and Crookers among others. His first release on Grizzly is the ‘Ewid Disco’ 12″, complete with Drop The Lime remix; today we have for you an exclusive download of ‘Pop Up’, a track taken from that EP, as remixed by young Frenchman Canblaster. The result is a floaty, syncopated house ‘floorfiller that makes up for in bug-eyed spirit what it lacks in subtlety.
