As previously reported, Chicago house legends Virgo are prepating playing three live dates in Europe in October.

The duo of Eric Lewis and Mervyn Sanders finally received their dues this year when Amsterdam’s Rush Hour re-issued their classic but notoriously hard to find 1989 album, originally released by the UK’s Radical Records. Their only official recorded output is that album and an EP from the same year on Trax under the name Virgo Four. Until now…

To coincide with the imminent live shows, Rush Hour have pressed up a limited edition Virgo 12″ that contains two previously unreleased tracks from the Trax era. The A-side is 1989’s ‘Lites Go Out’, while B-side ‘Look Into Your Eyes’ was made in 1986. The release is a tour-only affair, and we’re reliably informed that a handful of record shops in London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Glasgow (where they were originally scheduled to play) will carry it – but only in-store, not online.

The Virgo tour kicks off on October 1 at Paradiso in Amsterdam, heads to London’s Corsica Studios on October 2 (part of Phonica Records’ 7th birthday celebrations) and concludes at Berghain in Berlin on October 3. The 12″ is expected to drop next week.
