FACT mix 207: DJ Roc

By , Dec 3 2010

Today’s FACT mix comes from a stalwart of Chicago’s juke and footwork circles, DJ Roc.

Real name Clarence Johnson, DJ Roc is Chicago born and bred and has been making juke house since 2001, forming the Bosses of the Circle crew mid-way through the last decade. Their parties and Juke City series of mixtapes are legendary, and this year Roc’s production career was celebrated with an extensive release on Planet Mu, titled The Crack Capone and this week included in our albums of the year round-up.

He delivers FACT’s second juke mix, after Spinn and Rashad earlier this year, and we’re guessing by the tracklist he sent over that it’s mainly his own productions. If it’s not, then let us know.
