Everyone is going on about New Look lately.

We think we might have featured them in 2008 or 2009, but frankly we can’t remember and the piece won’t be online either way. Anyway, we’d forgotten about the Canadian duo until they returned a month or so back with ‘The Ballad’, one of the year’s catchiest songs and the one that appears to have seriously raised their profile.

The group have now signed to !K7, who has its obvious perks: here’s !K7 regular, Detroit sex-funk wizard Jimmy Edgar on the remix. You can catch New Look in London tomorrow night at the Shacklewell Arms (with a special guest DJ) and at the Old Blue Last on July 7 (with Sinden and Visions of Trees).
