UK kick-drum heavyweight Blawan’s next release will be a four-track EP for legendary Dutch label Clone, titled Peaches.

Since his 2010 debut single for Hessle Audio, Blawan’s stock has seen a staggering rise, thanks in no short part to ‘Getting Me Down’, a white label refix of Brandy’s ‘Wanna Be Down’ that was ubiquitous earlier this year. He’s also released two singles for R&S, including the Moodymann-sampling thumper ‘What You Can With What You Have’, released this week.

Peaches, according to Clone, is Blawan’s official “coming out” as a techno head, focussing on “phat techno stabs, harsh basslines and crazy bouncing beats that bring back that energy in techno … expect tracks that scream for some active old school DJing”. It features four tracks, titled ‘Peaches’, ‘Peaches (Coronation)’, ‘ Peaches (Melting Flesh)’ and ‘Peaches (Freestone)’, and will presumably be available in the next couple of months on 12″ vinyl and digital.

Also released this week, a four-track EP by Italian producers The Analogue Cops titled Big Family, which features two collaborations with Blawan titled ‘Good Stuff’ and ’45 Dollars’. The other half of the EP features collaborations with Ryan Elliot. That’s out now on the Restoration label.

You can stream clips of Peaches on the Clone website.
