A new 12″ entitled White Savage Dance compiles early works and 7″ rarities by Karl O’Connor aka Regis.

The release is due out next month on Downwards, O’Connor’s own label, which just last week issued an exhaustive 3xCD anthology of Regis’s name-making techno productions, Adolescence: The Complete Recordings 1994-2001. White Savage Dance, however, focusses on O’Connor’s earliest incarnation as purveyor of lo-fi post-punk electronics under the name Sandra Plays Electronics (later simply Sandra Electronics). It features a handful of Sandra demos plus original four-track studio takes and tracks later re-recorded for 7″ releases credited to Public Information Film and Diversion Group.

Initial copies of the 12″ vinyl release come with a limited edition zine featuring in-depth and priceless sleevenotes by Tony ‘Antonym’ Burnham. For more info and background on the release, download a digital version of Burnham’s text here.
