Demdike Stare return this week with Elemental, an epic new release split into four parts.

Elemental consists of four individually titled 12″s; the first two, Chrysanthe and Violetta, are released this week, packaged together in a deluxe quadruple gatefold sleeve that will house all four parts of the series. Parts 3 (Rose) and 4 (Iris) are due out in early 2012.

According to a press release “the material itself features some of the most dense, eerie and evocative pieces ever recorded by Demdike, leavened by an almost industrial sense of rhythmic structure and atmosphere-building that creates a jet-black aesthetic only intermittently illuminated by shards of light”. That’s us told then.

Elemental will also be released in a 2xCD edition in early 2012, but the tracks will be mostly different to the vinyl versions.

The release comes courtesy of Manchester’s Modern Love, with artwork by Andy Votel. More information, pictures and sound-clips here.
