Frank Ocean cancels shows, loses voice in Norway

Frank Ocean‘s set at Norwegian festival Oya was cut short after two songs this week.

TheMusic report that after arriving on stage 15 minutes late (hardly an earth-shattering event in itself), Ocean performed ‘Thinking Bout You’ and ‘Novacane’ before walking off. A spokesperson took to the stage and announced that Ocean had lost his voice and wouldn’t be peforming. People “booed, yelled” and there were “sad faces all round”. Which strikes us as a little unfair, but then festival crowds are rarely known for patience or sobriety.

It caps off a disappointing week for Ocean: on August 1, he cancelled a show at Detroit hours before the show was meant to start, citing flu. Stream ‘Thinking Bout You’, from Ocean’s new album Channel Orange, below.
