BBC announce first ever Glastonbury Festival live stream

Good news for those of you who missed out on a Glastonbury ticket – you’ll now be able to watch Daft Punk not play from the comfort of your own home.

As NME report, the BBC have announced they will livestream performances from all of the festival’s  main stages. Although the broadcaster has covered the Worthy Farm megafestival for years, this year will mark the first time they offer viewers the chance to watch the action in real time, as opposed to highlights packages or time-specific livefeeds.

The festival, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, runs from June 26-30. The only confirmed act thus far is Malian singer Rokia Traore, who will open the Pyramid stage as an act of solidarity against the repressive Islamist regime in command in the country.
