The details are scarce, but Lana Del Rey is in the process of filming a new short movie, Tropico.

Del Rey first revealed plans for Tropico last November, as a postscript to the ‘Bel Air’ video. It’s now been revealed that the movie will be directed by Anthony Mandler, who handled the video for Del Rey’s ‘National Anthem’ (the one with A$AP Rocky as JFK) and her short movie Ride, as well as various videos for Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.

According to LDR fansite Del Rey Lane [via MuuMuse], Tropico will feature music from ‘Bel Air’, ‘Body Electric’ and ‘Gods & Monsters’ (all taken from Del Rey’s Paradise EP), and features actors playing Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and Jesus – all referenced in the lyrics of ‘Body Electric’. Make of that what you will.
