Boston’s historic Waterworks Museum is to play host to an original, site-specific work for modular synthesizers, custom-built instruments, and electronics.

Local musicians Patrick Emm (who FACT spotlighted recently in a Free Agents feature), Reuben Son and Benjamin Nelson will be performing the specially written piece ‘For Allis, Leavitt, and Worthington’ in the museum’s Great Engine Hall on Wednesday November 20, and plan to take advantage of the room’s unique acoustic qualities.

Performing solo, in duos and as a trio, the three experimental musicians have taken inspiration from the three gigantic engines that reside in the hall, and if you’re in the Boston area and interested in peculiar electronic sounds, we’d reckon this one’s a no-brainer.
