Ring in a dismal Monday with a bit of magic on wax.

Sculpture have been going since the mid 2000s, but they registered on our radar back in 2012 with a set of churning electronics on patten‘s Kaleidoscope imprint, titled Slime Code. Their latest release, a 7″ titled Plastic Infinite, is similarly herteroclite, but the music is rather outshone by the record’s innovative vinyl artwork.

The disc has been designed like a zoetrope, meaning the design becomes animated when spun under a strobe light. The effect can also be seen when the record is filmed at 25 frame rates per second – hence the lovely video above. [via This Is Colossal]

Plastic Infinite is out now.
