John Niven's music industry book Kill Your Friends set for film adaptation in March

The film adaptation of John Niven’s book Kill Your Friends will start shooting in March.

Published in 2008 but set in 1997, Niven’s book satirises the music industry, with protagonist Steven Stelfox a Patrick Bateman figure of sorts in the A&R game circa Britpop. A film adaptation has been spoken about for some time, but today Niven tweeted that “after much delay and hell I am very pleased to say that the movie of Kill Your Friends starts shooting in March.”
