David Bowie details Record Store Day releases

Two limited editions releases for US and UK.

David Bowie will support Record Store Day next month with the release of two 7″ picture discs, one for UK fans featuring the Ziggy Stardust-era  ‘Rock’n’Roll Suicide’ and another for the US featuring ‘1984’ from Diamond Dogs.

‘Rock‘n’Roll Suicide’ comes backed with Farewell Speech from the very last Ziggy Stardust concert at the Hammersmith Odeon on 3 July, 1973, while ‘1984’ is backed with a live in-studio version from The Dick Cavett Show in 1974.

Both singles are released via Parlophone on April 19. Have a peep at the artwork below.

Last week the pop icon reportedly offered to write songs for his former backing singer Claudia Lennear, who stars in the new Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom. [via Guardian]
