Premiere: hear To Rococo Rot’s first new track in five years

Written by FACT Team on Wednesday, April 16 2014

Palindromic electronica boffins To Rococo Rot stick their heads above the parapet.

Eight studio albums deep into their career, the German three-piece are pretty much the dons of brittle, digitally-enhanced post-rock. On their very best records (see 1999’s delicate The Amateur View), they strike a balance between Oval’s forensic electronics, and the widescreen vistas of older German forbears (Ashra Tempel, Cluster, et al).

We’re pleased to say we now have a stream of the band’s first new track in half a decade, ‘Pro Model’. True to form, it’s a gently groovy piece of electronica, setting stannic synth tones over a chugging motorik beat. Click below to listen.
