Laurent Garnier's book on the history of dance music to be released in English for the first time

Laurent Garnier’s book on the history of dance music is set to be available in English for the first time. Electrochoc was first printed in French in 2003 and became a bestseller in France, Spain, Russia, Germany and Japan.

The book tells “the whole story of the electronic music scene over the last 30 years from the inside, from before the birth of rave in the UK to present day Berlin.” Electrochoc explores the electronic music scenes in Paris, Detroit, New York, Berlin, Chicago, London and other cities.

Along with Jeff Mills and Francois Kevorkian, the book also features contributions from Mad Mike Banks, James Murphy and David Guetta.
