The head monk of Tibetan Buddhism is heading to Worthy Farm.
The Dalai Lama himself has announced that he will give a talk at Glastonbury Festival this year.
A post on the ‘Schedule’ section of dalailama.com – which has since been removed, but was screen-captured by Huffington Post – stated that “His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning” of Sunday, June 28.
A talk at Kempton Racecourse in Middlesex remains on the Dalai Lama’s schedule for the following day, meaning he will be in England at the time. The full festival line-up is not expected until April, so it seems likely that organisers asked him to keep details quiet until then.
Last year the Dalai Lama’s monks performed chants and created a ceremonial sand mandala at Glastonbury.
