The latest Solid Steel mix celebrates the release of Beat Spacek’s Modern Streets, the new solo album from storied UK producer Steve Spacek.
At the controls is one of the finest selectors we know, Low End Theory affiliate and now London-based DJ and producer Kutmah, who’s gone deep into Spacek’s back catalogue to dig out highlights from his collaborations with the likes of Mark Pritchard, Theo Parrish and J Dilla as well as his vast array of solo productions.
The IZWID boss is a huge fan of Spacek apparently, so he’s been able to shine a light on some lesser known Spacek cuts and even an unreleased gem in the shape of a track from his shelved album collaboration with Raphael Saadiq.
