Not for the first time, Yeezy will be dishing out his learnings to undergrads.

Kanye West will give a lecture at Oxford University today (March 2), addressing students from the Oxford Guild Society.

Abbas Kazmi, chairman of the Oxford Guild, called the booking a “real coup” and said the university had spent “many hours” negotiating with the rapper, as NME reports.

“We are very excited to be hosting such an inspiring and high profile a speaker as the legendary Kanye West and expect it to be a fascinating and memorable event,” he gushed.

“It is great to see the hard work pay off after having spent many hours negotiating against the odds and keeping things under wraps to secure this event, which is a real coup for the Guild, which I am proud to see continuing to grow from strength to strength, reaching even higher heights and winning ever more national awards and accolades.”

A full video of the talk will be uploaded after the sold-out event, which takes place at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History from 3PM. Tickets were made available to students over the last 24 hours, and no tickets will be available on the door.

Yesterday Kanye revealed his new album title So Help Me God and tweeted a religious image that looks likely to be the artwork.

Update: The good folks at VERSA live-blogged the event, during which Kanye spoke on Pablo Picasso, Steve Jobs, how the The Matrix is “like the Bible of the post-information age,” and more, sharing his thoughts on capitalism, race and class.
