You can now sing along to your favourite songs while you stream.

If you’re the kind of person that finds themselves firing up user-created lyric videos on YouTube to sing along to your favourite songs then there might be a better solution.

Spotify has just announced it’s adding a lyrics function to its desktop app, meaning you’ll soon be able to click a button and see a song’s lyrics pop up on screen. The function comes via Spotify’s recent partnership with online lyrics catalogue Musixmatch, and should work with most songs given its large user community of transcribers.

You can see the feature in action via the video below, which Spotify says should roll out to desktop users over the coming weeks.
