The Stockholm-based label drops SUMMER JAMS 2K15.

Dinamarca and Ghazal launched STAYCORE late last year, releasing Dinamarca’s No Hay Break EP and a remix pack featuring a handful of club producers-to-watch. Now, the label has prepped a 13-track compilation, SUMMER JAMS 2K15, featuring DJ-producers from around the globe as they toy with dancehall, dembow, kuduro and soca grooves.

And while the label pushes contemporary takes on the club sounds of the Caribbean and Latin America, the stench of appropriation associated with the turn-of-the-decade “global bass” movement is absent, because STAYCORE hasn’t removed originators from the story. SUMMER JAMS 2K15 features Janus rep KABLAM, Chilean upstart Imaabs and London newcomer EndgamE, along with talents based everywhere from Mexico and Uruquay to Germany and Croatia.
