The neo-psych figureheads’ 10th album is on the way.

Animal Collective have officially wrapped their new album and follow-up to 2012’s Centipede Hz. The news came from EastWest Studios in Los Angeles, which posted a picture of Avey Tare and Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) with the news that the band had finished recording the new album in Studio 3, the very same place Brian Wilson crafted the pocket symphony magic of Pet Sounds and Smile.

Though the picture and announcement have since been taken down, you can spot some much better pictures of the band writing and rehearsing at Drop Of Sun Studios in Asheville, North Carolina. Those are captured below.

Thanks Tony @makenoisemusic for the tour and demo! Our studio would like to get a system from you guys soon!

Earlier this year Lennox released his FACT mix and the excellent new solo album Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper.
