World renowned vinyl collector opens his collection to the public.

Eothen ‘Egon’ Alapatt, who runs the archival label Now Again Records and is one third of Rappcats alongside Madlib and Stones Throw designer Jeff Jank, is launching a quarterly vinyl pop up shop in Los Angeles.

The first instalment of the Rappcats pop up record shop takes place today, December 12, from noon to 5pm in Highland Park.

Egon will sell pieces from his collection on the day with the promise of “records from the uber-rare to the cheap and essential.” Featured in the recent Dust & Grooves book as well as various documentaries, Egon is a renowned vinyl collector and has had a hand in turning some of your favourite DJs and producers onto lost and unknown gems.

Also available on the day will be the entire Now Again catalog with a one day discount of 25%, which carries over to their online shop for those unable to attend. And if you can’t make it today, Egon plans to hold these quarterly throughout 2016.

The pop up shop is located at 5636 York Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90042. Listen to a mix of records on sale below alongside a handful of covers from Egon’s collection.
