The album explores “hyper individualism” and “neotenous plastics”.

The perpetually unpredictable James Ferraro will release his new album, Human Story 3, on June 14. Ferraro described the project as “a musing on hyper individualism and the marketability of neotenous plastics” on Twitter while sharing a link to a mysterious trailer.

Human Story 3 follows last year’s unforgivingly dark SKIDROW, which acted like an LA counterpoint to 2013’s NYC, HELL 3:00 AM. Earlier this year he expanded his MoMA ringtone project to Japan with a new series at Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

Watch the trailer for Human Story 3 below and revisit our list of the best albums of the decade so far, where Ferraro ranks quite high.
