Detroit veteran Andrés (aka DJ Dez) is to follow up last year’s ‘Believin’ EP with a 12″ of soulful, disco-flecked house, titled ‘Mighty Tribe

Taking in tropicalia and piano-led melodies, you can listen to clips of the EP over at the Fit Distribution website. No release date has been confirmed as yet.

Previously live DJ for Slum Village (he was introduced to the group by mutual friend J Dilla in 2000), Andrés has been releasing solo singles for over a decade, mostly on Moodymann’s labels – first KDJ, then Mahogani Music. A FACT favourite, he released our track of the year in 2012.
