Thieves make off with thousands of dollars in laptops and computers.

TMZ reports that a burglary took place at Kanye West’s home studio in Calabasas, California, on Monday May 23. Around $20,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

The incident was reported to police on Tuesday morning after the door to Kanye’s studio was discovered open with many laptops and desktop computers missing. The equipment has already been replaced and none of the content is at risk apparently due to security measures in each device.

There are currently no suspects though TMZ reports Kanye’s team believes the crime was committed by someone in the know.

Earlier this week, a nearly 20-year old beat tape from Kanye West surfaced online. The eight beats are from a 1997 tape and include two that were later placed with Grav and Infamous Syndicate, some of Kanye’s earliest releases.
