It’s a good time to be a Stars Of The Lid fan.

After bringing fans long-awaited reissues last year, Stars Of The Lid are about to embark on their longest tour in nearly a decade which promises to include new music. Now, the duo have kicked off that tour with a stunning 10-minute track that has never been released.

The track in question is a remix by metal and drone mainstay James Plotkin of ‘Music For Twin Peaks Episode #30 Pt. 1’ from the duo’s 1997 album The Ballasted Orchestra. While the track’s celestial atmosphere remains, Plotkin adds to it even further with his Fender Rhodes electric piano.
