Soho’s finest record store, Phonica, will celebrate its seventh birthday with a party at Corsica Studios this October 2.

Headlining is Innervisions lynchpin Henrik Schwarz, whose set at Phonica’s second birthday still gets talked about at the shop today. Close behind him is Kieran ‘Four Tet’ Hebden, who recently submitted his remix for the next release in the Phonica 12” series, Bob Holroyd’s ‘African Drug’, and is enjoying his highest state of acclaim to date following his excellent new album There is Love in You.

Also on board is Barcelona’s John Talabot, and Midland, a close associate of Ramadanman’s who recently put out the excellent Play the Game EP. Tickets will be available in a few days from the shop and Resident Advisor.

Before then, the shop will be following their recent Kode9 in-store DJ set with one from Brackles, presnted by Tiger beer to celebrate his forthcoming mix CD for !K7. That’s on Friday August 27, from 6.30pm.
