You’ll probably already be aware that FACT is teaming up with Dollop to put on a warehouse party of epic proportions in London this Friday.

We’re a cold-hearted bunch at the best of times, but we can barely contain our excitement at the line-up we’ve put together for this bash, which takes place 10pm-6am at Scrutton St warehouse (the CitiPost building) in Shoreditch. Headlining proceedings is Instra:mental, the duo whose drum ‘n bass pedigree has informed their forays into dubstep, electro, techno, house and beyond, both together and solo as Boddika and Jon Convex. Undeniably one of the most vital DJ/production teams of our mutant times, we’re delighted to have them playing an extended 90min set ahead of their upcoming album release.

Performing live is KiNK, the Bulgarian whose consistently high-octane house and techno music – most memorably last year’s dance-destroying ‘Existence’ – never fails to thrill. He’s a damned fine DJ, but it’s live where his most singular and scintillating talents lie; you don’t want to miss this rinse-out at any cost.

On a personal level, we’re looking forward most of all to Slimzee‘s appearance. The original Rinse pirate and Pay As U Go member is hands-down the greatest grime DJ who ever lived, and if you’ve ever heard his classic Sidewinder Vol.2 or Bingo Beats mixtapes, you’ll know what to expect: hyper-kinetic, dancefloor-focussed fare that’s all muscle and no flab, blended with the kind of flair and insouciance that only the truly gifted can summon. This man’s dubplate collection is beyond legendary – most of the tunes he plays have never been properly released, and never will – and he’ll be digging into it for us for a set which any right-thinking person needs to be present for, on the floor, losing their shit.

Support comes from grime’s modern-day standard-bearers, the brilliant Elijah & Skilliam (pictured). Via their Rinse show and Butterz label, these Londoners have done more than anyone in recent years to keep the scene lean and mean, and they are of course killer DJs to boot.
