The July 14 edition of Brighton’s The Outer Church will feature the first UK screening of Marble Hornets: Season One.
Troy Wagner and Joseph DeLage’s immersive web series is based on the viral mythos surrounding the ominous entity known as Slender Man. Highly innovative and grimly compelling, Marble Hornets has already spawned a host of imitators, including the excellent EverymanHYBRID and Tribe Twelve, but so far only Wagner and DeLage’s creation has garnered the approval of US film critic Roger Ebert, not to mention its own DVD release.

The musical component will be provided by Sinneslöschen, an experimental collaboration between Bound Toy (Old Apparatus) and new Bird/Finders Keepers signing Paper Dollhouse (aka Astrud Steehouder of the acclaimed Rayographs). Long-limbed woodland vibes and urban interference are expected. In addition, the distinctive artwork for this event was created by the multi-talented James R Moore, aka Aurora Borealis recording artist Black Mountain Transmitter.

It all goes down at Brighton Komedia, 7.30pm-11pm, and tickets are just £5 here.
