FACT mix 174 is by “one-woman orchestra” Cameron Mesirow, AKA Glasser.

Glasser is set to release her keenly anticipated debut album through True Panther next month. Entitled Ring, it features contributions from Van Rivers and The Subliminal Kid, the production team behind Fever Ray’s self-titled album of last year, and includes excellent past singles ‘Tremel’ and ‘Apply’. Fans of Arthur Russell, Four Tet, Stereolab and Bjork will find much to enjoy in the album’s mellifluous electronic pop sound, which combines DIY attitude and immediacy with genuinely ambitious writing and production.

Glasser recorded her FACT mix with regular collaborators The Romantic Three; commencing with the pastoral electronics and psyche-pop of Cluster and George Harrison respectively, it moves quickly into starlit house/techno territory, with tracks from Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, Four Tet and Capricorn, as well as remixes of Glasser material by Jamie xx and John Talabot. A perfect introduction to what makes this preternaturally gifted new artist tick. Read our recent interview with Glasser here.
