The trio kick off 2017 by revealing another track from forthcoming LP I See You.

The xx have released a new song, ‘Say Something Loving’, from their forthcoming third album. It’s the second track the band have shared from I See You, which will be released on January 13. You can hear a preview of the track below.

The London-based trio first unveiled their new direction with lead single ‘On Hold’, which was released in late November with a sunkissed video shot in Marfa, Texas. Around the same time they performed ‘On Hold’ and additional album track ‘I Dare You’ on Saturday Night Live.

‘Say Something Loving’ builds on the promise of those two tracks with a shimmering, uplifting take on their noirish pop tendencies. The band themselves have described the new album as “open and expansive” in comparison to their earlier work.

The release of I See You will be followed up by an extensive tour throughout the UK and Europe this Spring, peaking with no less than seven sold-out nights at London’s Brixton Academy.
