Artifact has been one of Bristol’s most impressive producers for a minute now, whether making ultra-swung techno or, in the case of Cologne Tracks, a free album released earlier this year, footwork. He might all be in the box, preferring to work on Ableton, but he cut his teeth designing analogue-aping software in Germany, so he knows how to make his tracks bang with the best of them.
