Detroit neo-soul troubadour Amp Fiddler is set to touch down in London for a rare performance.
Courtesy of the ever-reliable Soundcrash, Amp will be bringing his silky-smooth vision of soulful R&B to London’s Rich Mix on October 30, and it’s a show we’d say is unmissable. Amp’s been at it for many years now – he notoriously showed a young Dilla how to use the MPC – and while he ducked out for a while, it seems as if he’s back with guns blazing.
His latest release, entitled Basementality 2 features a duet with bona-fide star Raphael Saadiq, and is Amp’s finest for a while. The neo-soul guru will be appearing in London alongside Nottingham’s Harleighblu, an up-and-coming soul singer who’s currently affiliated with Brighton’s excellent Tru Thoughts imprint.
